Zimbabwe's Mount Inyangani

Has this something to do with Aliens?

Zimbabwe's Mount Inyangani is perhaps the most interesting of the mountain sites known for their ability to make people vanish, precisely because in some instances, those missing have turned up with peculiar stories to tell. UFO investigator Cynthia Hind, in an article for FATE Magazine, discusses the experience which befell a present deputy minister in the Zimbabwean government, who was once lost on Mount Inyangani with two companions. According to the deputy minister, the three men walked aimlessly in a state of confusion, feeling neither thirst nor hunger, all the while seeing and waving frantically at the elements of the rescue team, who could not see them at all. Apparently, certain blood sacrifices were offered to the tutelary deities of the mountain, which enabled the three men to "reenter" our normal space-time continuum. Hind's article goes on to say that in the early 80's, a district assistant for the locality which includes Mount Inyangani was himself involved in the rescue operation undertaken to localize a missing government official. The elders of the Tangwena tribe were informed of the official's plight, and a ritual aimed at securing his "return" was performed. The missing official was found the next day, none worse for the experience, but unable to remember what he had done during the two days he was missing. Others have been less fortunate, and their disappearances have never been solved.

  1. Fascinating subject. My maid says its the "eastern tokolishi." and that it makes its victims "fall away from the earth." Its not the fist time i've heard about this. Twice i've heard about different reports with incredibly similar occurrences. If you're interested I can give you some information about it that I know of. my email address is brad@zim.co.zw

  9. I have heard that the family and friends of the lost one should contact the Tangwena tribe they are the only ones that are able to help. Geting the police and search parties looking for him is not geting anywhere. And it has also been said that the family and friends of the lost one should cry because that will just make him not return. There are so many stories about this place and all of them seem to be true, so maybe the family of the lost one should take advice and go and see the elders and ask them if they can help for him to have a safe return.

  10. Prayers are with you and your family, however I think that the only elders, chiefs, healers, that you should be approaching is from your creator up above and nobody else.
    He is in ultimate control.

  14. So sorry to hear about this missing person, we all keep praying for his safe return, Can anybody explain this? Im hearing stories that witch doctors/ chiefs/local elders, Tangwena Tribe as they are so known that they have said no for the usage of a helicopter due to the fact that certain rituals and prayers need to be conducted.
I have also heard that no usage of cell phones, no wearing the colour red on clothing, plus a few other restrictions I cant remember. My point here is that I find it really crazy that rescuers and search teams have to follow such rules when if anything it is only spoiling the search mission, the helicopter is most needed at this time and because the chief says its not allowed, the whole operation needs to be put on hold.
this is life and death we are talking about.
    Can somebody explain?

    1. This is really sad and l do share your sentiment but to answer your question it is true that local elders may issue these instructions and that everyone adheres to them. It is a sacred place and in this case there is a family within the area who are custodians of this place and in this case they are the medium between the living and the ancestral spirits of the mountain. Normally there are do's and dont's which have to be observed again as one embarks on the mountain trail failure to do so usually results in disappearence. As such this is viewed as a breach by the mountain spirits hence people should desist from further breach as this may anger them and endanger the life of a beloved one. We come from different walks of life, religions and beliefs but let us learn to respect some of these things. Historically l dont recall any missing person being recovered in that mountain through a helicopter search or other means other than the traditional way headed by ( VENE/ VARIDZI ) custodians. Imagine l kick a ball into the back of one's garden...its always responsible to inform the property owner who in turn may give you a nod to go in and retrive or they will personally do it for you
